FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I
order my wedding gown?
It is best to
ensure your gown arrives at least 2 – 4 weeks prior to your
wedding day. Please allow 12 weeks for the production and
delivery of your wedding gown. Also, do not forget to allow for any
alterations that may need to be done prior to your wedding such as
hem alterations or weight changes. Bridesmaids, evening, mother of
bride and flower girl dresses may not require as long to create so please allow 10 - 12 weeks for production and delivery. Please note: these times are a guide only. We cannot guarantee a delivery date due to conditions out of our control such as manufacturing delays, shipping companies, couriers, public holidays, strikes etc.
Will you keep
me informed on the production of my gown?
Yes.
We will send you an email to advise on the various stages of
production of your gown.
Because the
prices are so low, is the quality and workmanship good?
We have sourced
experienced designers and dressmakers who have been in the bridal
manufacturing business for a number of decades. Their experience has
also included manufacturing for top designers such as Maggie Sottero,
David Bridal, Justin Alexander, Winner Couture, and Mary’s bridal.
You will expect and receive a quality gown that is new and custom made to your size. The gown will be made from high quality satin and include foundations
such as linings and boning and feature the same embellishments such as crystals, Czech diamonds, Japanese Matsuno beads and high quality sequins.
Do
you have fabric samples?
Yes.
You can purchase them for $25. However, if you return the colour
chart to us we will refund $15 (postage costs will be your
responsibility). If you wish to keep the colour chart and order a
gown, we will discount the cost of the gown by this amount.
Why
are the pictures of your bridesmaids gowns found on many other sites?
We
only make custom made gowns and the pictures provided on our website are for representational purposes of the many styles available in the bridal industry and our gowns created are based on these popular designer gowns. Please remember our bridesmaids gowns are copies, the finished gown will have at least a 95% similarity to the picture depending on the style chosen. As there are thousands of gown styles available world wide and we cannot show all of these on our site, we offer a custom design service if you see another gown you prefer. Please note: colours displayed may not be available. Please check our colour selection page for available colours.
Do
you sell standard size wedding gowns?
No. We only offer custom made to measure gowns.
Please note: you will need to have your measurements taken by a professional
dressmaker as you are responsible for the measurements provided to
us. Please use our made to measure link to take to the dressmaker to ensure you have all the measurements required to create your wedding gown.
Does
the cost of the gown include the petticoat and veil?
No. Petticoats and veils are sold separately.
Where are you
located?
We are an online
store only to ensure we can provide the highest quality gowns at the
best possible price by the elimination of costs involved in a
traditional retail store. Our administration office is located on the
Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia and our ABN is 46 409 240 678.
Am I able to
come and see your gowns and try one on?
No. Due to the
thousands of gown designs and different sizes, and colour schemes
available, it would be impossible to have on display each and every
one of these. As we are an online store and exclusively create
custom made gowns, we do not have stock for view, fittings or
physical pick ups. Custom made to measure gowns are the only way we
are able to ensure that we keep the prices low and you receive the
quality expected.
Do you offer
discounts?
Yes we can. If
you buy multiple items we do offer discounts on the gowns and
postage.
Can you make
my own design?
Yes we can. If
you have good quality photos from the front and back of the gown of
your dreams or good working sketches and details we are able to
create it to a 95% similarity for you and are happy to provide a quote before you decide.
Do you only
make traditional style gowns?
No. If you prefer
to have wedding attire that is not easily accessible, our designers
are able to create gowns from workable sketches with detail and high
quality photos. We are happy to give you quote at any time. Please
keep in mind that the cost will vary depending on the types of fabric
and embellishments you choose.
Do you offer
different colours?
Yes. We have
quite an extensive range of colours available for all gowns and
dresses. The shoes however, are only available in the colours listed,
unless they are dyeable.
Do you provide
alterations?
Alterations can
only be made during the ordering process. Unfortunately, we are not
able to provide alterations once the pattern has been cut or gown
made. If you would like to make any changes in the design or
embellishments, please use our comment input box to provide the
details of the changes you require. To ensure your gowns fits well,
please have your measurements taken by a professional dressmaker or
someone who is experienced in taking measurements. Please remember,
it is best to have a gown which is a little bit too big than a little
bit to small. This also applies to hemlines, however, remember to
take into account hems which have scalloped edging or other
decorative features may be lost if shortened.
Any tips for measuring hem length?.
It is important that the hollow to hem measurement is done correctly. It is better to be a bit longer as the hem can be taken up as it creates problems if the hem is too short. Please ensure you wear the shoes you intend to wear on your wedding day when you are measured and only be measured by a professional dressmaker. Please note: alterations to the hem may spoil certain effects such as scalloped edging or other embellishments.
Do
you offer a guarantee?
We
guarantee that you will receive the gown that you ordered, in the
size and colour that your ordered. If for any reason you do
receive the wrong custom size or colour that you ordered your
payment will be refunded or another dress will be made if there is
time. For custom sizing we guarantee to make the gown exactly to
the measurements that you provide us. If the gown has not been made
to your specifications your gown will be remade or a full refund will
apply. (Please note: this does not apply if you have taken your measurements
incorrectly and the gown does not fit you, that is why we recommend
that you have your measurements taken by a professional). All
gowns are rigorously inspected for any manufacturing faults and
photographed before being sent to you.
What
are the shipping/postage charges?
All gowns, shoes and accessories are shipped free of charge nationally and worldwide.
What happens if my goods arrive damaged?
All goods are inspected, photographed and then packed securely for shipment to our
customers. In the unlikely event that your goods are damaged in
transit, you will need to return the package as soon as possible for
insurance purposes. You will also need to email us as soon as within
48 hours of receiving the packages. We can then fix the situation
for you as soon as possible.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Paypal or direct bank deposit. Using Paypal you can pay using Visa or Mastercard.
